Congratulations on receiving your Amazon Visa or Prime Visa card. Chase issues both cards, and your first step is to register on Chase.com/Amazon so you can activate your card, monitor purchases, and stay on top of payments. Both cards carry no annual credit card fee, though the Prime Visa requires an eligible Amazon Prime membership. This guide walks new cardholders through activation, first-time registration, and signing in safely. Chase is the issuer and system of record, which means Chase processes all payments and maintains your account activity.

Before You Begin

Have the following ready before you visit the chase.com Amazon login page:
  • Your new card number
  • Your Social Security Number
  • A valid email address and phone number
  • Your billing ZIP code
  • Basic personal details for identity verification
If you already have a Chase Online profile from a different Chase product, you may be able to add your Amazon card without full re-enrollment.

How to Register as a New Cardholder

1

Visit the official Chase.com/Amazon page

Go to https://www.chase.com/amazon in a secure browser. Look for the sign-in or enrollment area.
2

Choose Enroll in Chase Online

New cardholders will need to create a Chase digital profile. Select the enrollment option and confirm that you want to register a credit card.
3

Enter your card and personal information

Input your card number, SSN, and billing ZIP code. Chase uses this information to verify that you are the authorized cardholder.
4

Set up your username and password

Create a username and password you will use for future sign-ins. Choose a strong password that includes numbers and symbols.
5

Confirm your contact details

Chase will send an identity verification code via text, call, or email. Enter the code to confirm your phone or email.
6

Complete enrollment

Review your information and submit. Your Chase Online profile is now active.

Activating Your Card

After enrollment, activate your card so you can begin using it:
  1. Sign in to your new Chase Online profile at https://www.chase.com/amazon.
  2. Locate the card activation prompt, or call the number on the sticker attached to your card.
  3. Follow the on-screen or phone instructions to activate.
Activation confirms that the card has reached the correct cardholder. Until activation is complete, your card may not work for purchases.

How to Sign In After Registration

Once enrolled and activated, use the www.chase.com Amazon login each time you want to view your account:
  1. Open the official site and enter your username.
  2. Enter your password.
  3. Complete any prompted identity verification step.
  4. Access your dashboard to review transactions, rewards, and statements.
Many new cardholders also download the Chase Mobile app for easier access. The app supports the same core functions as the desktop site.
If your account locks after too many failed login attempts, wait briefly or contact Chase customer service for Amazon Visa and Prime Visa cardholders at 888-247-4080, or use the number on the back of your card.

Linking Your Chase Account to Amazon

After you set up Chase Online, you can link your card to Amazon for integrated account views. This lets you see your balance and credit limit, make payments, view transactions, and check rewards directly on Amazon. To link:
  1. Go to the Amazon Cardmember page.
  2. Select Link Now.
  3. Enter your Chase username and password.
  4. Complete the one-time consent.
Only one Amazon account can link to one Chase account at a time. To unlink later, go to Card Menu, then Settings and Preferences, and choose Unlink Chase Account.

Common New Cardholder Questions

Most new cardholders finish enrollment in under ten minutes. Have your card, SSN, and contact details ready so you can verify your identity quickly.
The standard Amazon Visa card does not require a Prime membership. The Prime Visa, which offers enhanced rewards, requires an eligible Amazon Prime membership.
Use the “Forgot username/password?” link on the chase.com Amazon login page. You can recover your username by providing your SSN and card number.
You can make payments on Amazon after linking your accounts. However, Chase is the issuer and processes all payments. To avoid late fees, make at least the minimum payment by the due date shown in your Chase account.
For security, avoid saving passwords on shared computers. Use a reputable password manager if you want convenient but secure access.
For Chase-related issues such as login, payments, transactions, or statements, call 888-247-4080. For questions about Amazon orders, rewards, or account linking, contact Amazon support.
